The classic americano, first served at Bar Caffè Campari in Milan in the 1860s, is equal measures of Campari and sweet vermouth over ice and topped with soda. This is true to the spirit of the original, and makes a virtue of Campari’s affinity with grapefruit. It’s my go-to summer refresher. Serves one. ~ Marcis Dzelzainis via the Gaurdian
